Donor Story

A story exists behind every donation to St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.  Read about how our donors are putting their stamp on our future.

Zoe Hunter and her family celebrated her first birthday with a golf outing to raise funds for St. Elizabeth Hospital's NICU.  In addition to the money raised, as a result of Zoe's birthday celebration NICU babies will be dressed in adorable clothers, have comfy blankets to snuggle in, families will create memories through pictures from the new printer and provide massages to the smallest of our patients.  Zoe, you and your  family are a true blessing!  Thank you.

Kylie, Kaitlin and Breanna Drechsel and Brenen and Cameron (not pictured) Hicks

Kylie, Kaitlin and Breanna Drechsel and Brenen and Cameron (not pictured) Hicks had a lemonade stand and raised $7.00.  With this money, they purchased crayons, coloring books and puzzles for the children on the PEDs unit. Thank you for using your hard earned profits to help make the day brighter for children at St. Elizabeth!

Shirley & BH staff
Shirley and Albert Schmidt are wonderful friends of St. Elizabeth Hospital and the foundation. Recently Shirley droppedThomas the train off 300 stuffed animals so that children on the Behavioral Health Unit will have their own stuffed animal to snuggle with, along with coloring books to entertain the older siblings of new babies born in our Birthplace and a Thomas the Train set and table!  Thank you Shirley and Albert!

JennaTen year old Jenna recently had her tonsils removed at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Afterwards she received a stuffed animal to comfort her and, understanding the comfort she received from the stuffed animal, wanted other kids to experience the same feeling of comfort. Thank you, Jenna, for your thoughtfulness and for giving back!  Your kindness and generous sprit will help brighten the day for other kids!

For the past five years, the Dale Fire and Rescue Squad has held a Cancer Walk. The  Dale Fire & Rescue Check PresentationOctober walk, winds around Daufen Park's nature trail loop.  On February 19, 2015, the squad presented a check in the amount of $3808.38 to the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation to be used to assist breast cancer patients.  "We know that we won't be able to cure cancer with the amount we raise, but we know that we can make a difference in the comfort one gets when dealing with this disease.", Chad Ewing, Lieutenant.  We truly appreciated the squad's continued desire to support local families dealing with cancer. We are again, proud to be the recepient of such a generous gift!

FNB Fox Valley employees celebrated heart month in February by raising $1,000 for St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation's Heart & Lung Fund. From "jeans days" to an employee breakfast, the employees and bank were happy to be engaged and contribute - while having fun in the process!

"The employees of FNB are committed to leading healthy lifestyles, so raising money during heart health awareness month was a great way to express our commitment to leading healthy lifestyles and an opportunity to support a community partner like St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. We had fun wearing jeans with red shirts and sweaters!" - Kathy Blumreich, senior VP retail banking

1.       Bruce and Nancy Chudacoff are long time friends of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.  Their recent donation of $1,800.00 to the Radiation/Oncology department honors the wonderful staff.

The gift amount has a significant meaning. In Hebrew the number 18 means “life”.  This is exactly what the staff gives the individuals undergoing treatment – life.  The department will use the funds to purchase an ice/water machine for use by patients undergoing treatment.  Many patients have found ice chips to be extremely beneficial in helping with some of the side effects of radiation treatments. Both ice chips and water help produce a soothing, cooling sensation for patients.

Thank you, Nancy and Bruce, for your continued strong support of the foundation.
